Du Chunxiao is a lecturer in the Art and Technology department at Shandong University of Art & Design, overseeing the Lighting Design Program Specialization. With both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, Du is also a senior member of the China Institute of Stage Design.

Notable works include lighting design for the opening ceremonies of the 7th CISM Military World Games and the 2nd Youth Games of the People's Republic of China. Contributions extend to the Asian Cultural Carnival and the World Horticultural Expo's opening and closing ceremonies. In 2023, served as the chief lighting designer for the symphonic piece “Nishan·Yale” at the Nishan Forum on World Civilizations. The work “Liang Zhu” (Butterfly Lovers) was featured at the USITT conference, representing the China Institute of Stage Design.
