SangQi 

SangQi is the Director of Shanghai Scenography Association and the member of council of Scenography Association of China. He is also working in Shanghai Drama Art Centre as the Director of the Stage Production Department.


Sang Qi ’s design practice in theatre include : “ART”、“OLEANNA”、“The Deer and The Cauldron”、“The Streetcar Named Desire”、“Brother”、 “Love Letters”,ect. He is the recipient of “Best set designer of The 5th Gloden Lion Award ”、“Outstanding design award of The 2nd scenography Exhibition, China”and “Association Award of Shanghai Scenography association”ect.

PROGRAMME 

Is capital an angel or a devil?
It may lead you to meteoric success, or endless downfall.
It takes different forms depending on our individual perception, so how does it appear to you? 


Money brings conflicts. To finance his performance, the protagonist Liu Xuanrui is ready to do whatever it takes. Das Kapital starts with the protagonist’s refusal to take part in a play and ends in a pursuit of capital. The pursuit of art becomes a game, with everyone engrossed in money, desires and artistic ideals. Frenzy and ridicule, ecstasy and fury – all mingle and clash on stage. As the story develops, things grow more absurd and eventually get out of hand. 


The well-established duo, playwright Nick Rongjun Yu and director He Nian, have transformed the classic work of Karl Marx, Capital, into a theatre play, portraying the double-sidedness of capital not with abstruse theoretical text but hilarious dark humour. The plot, albeit seemingly absurd and detached, goes hand in hand with everyday lives. As the playwright acknowledged, “In fact, capital has penetrated into every aspect of our lives – politics, economy, society, law, religion and ideals. In the face of capital, there is nowhere to escape to.” 












桑琦

上海舞台美术学会会长,中国舞台美术学副秘书长,现任上海话剧艺术中心舞美部主任。

1998年毕业于上海戏剧学院舞美系。

主要话剧作品有《艺术》、《OLEANNA》、《鹿鼎记》、《大哥》、《情书》、《欲望号街车》等。曾获第五届金狮奖舞美设计奖,中国第二届舞台美术展览会作品大奖,上海舞台美术学会学会奖等奖项。

资本是天使 ? 资本是魔鬼 ? 资本能让我们一步登天,也能让我们落入万丈深渊。人人心中都有一个资本的模样,你心中的资本模样如何 ? 


钱,左边为金,右边双戈。主角刘炫锐为筹募表演资金,不惜力出奇招,由一话剧的罢演开始,引来一场资本的追逐。演出变成了游戏,众人周旋于金钱、欲望和艺术理想,嬉笑怒骂,越渐荒诞,事情终于一发不可收拾 ...... 


金牌编剧喻荣军联同鬼才导演何念,将马克思的经典著作《资本论》搬上舞台,没有艰涩理论,反以爆笑黑色幽默呈现资本双面刃。剧情既怪诞抽离却又与生活息息相关,正如编剧自白 :“其实,无论是政治、经济、社会,还是法律、信仰、理想,资本早就融入我们生活的各个方面,面对资本,我们无处可逃。”
