Explanation of the Artwork:

The background of the artistic creation of the dance titled "Dream· Complaint for Love" comes from the Kunqu Opera titled "Peony Pavilion", in which the lines read "Love once begun will never end. The lovers may die for love, and the dead in love may revive." The love story of Liu Mengmei and Du Liniang through life and death tells the true meaning of perseverance and persistence by adopting truth, kindness and beauty and explores the expression of the aesthetic connotation of opera in the form of dance as the main body of creation. The costume design of this artwork embodies the creative principle of "creating the realm from the mind with the virtual being the real". The style is presented in the form of a combination of drama and dance. The essence of the drama and dance costumes are integrated into the body dynamics with the color contrast sharp and integrated and the pattern drawing on the peony elements used in the traditional opera with a modern feel.
